Teacher’s Supply Closet

Our club is proud to help support Teacher’s Supply Closet by collecting school supplies to donate. Teachers’ Supply Closet is a nonprofit organization that provides free school supplies to teachers in the Tri-County area. These supplies benefit schools where 69% or more of the students are on free or reduced meal programs. https://www.teacherssupplycloset.org/

Windward Farms Carnival

Windward Farms provides help, hope, and healing to children and families affected by abuse, neglect, or trauma through residential programs and community service. Each year our Windward Farms carnival is a huge success! Last year was our 10^th year and we served 144 hot dogs and hamburgers and over 15 gallons of snow cones to the children. Key Club Sponsorships

Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. Recently, the Key Club of the Early College High School Sponsored a Blood Drive and had a great turnout!

Terrific Kids Program

The Kiwanis Club of Charleston Sponsors Terrific Kids Programs in many local schools. This character-building program recognizes students for modifying their behavior. We encourage children to be the best version of themselves and reward them with prizes. Their parents receive our iconic “Terrific Kids” bumper sticker.

We sponsor the Terrific Kids Programs at Buist Academy, Midland Park Primary, North Charleston Elementary, Oakland Elementary, Orange Grove Elementary Charter, Pepper Hill Elementary, Pinehurst Elementary, St. Andrews Math and Science, and Mitchell Elementary School.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a free place to stay for out-of-town families of sick children in local hospitals. The Kiwanis Club of Charleston volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston by preparing meals for the families. Most recently, we served chicken bog, green beans, corn on the cob, Kings Hawaiian rolls, lemonade, and tea. https://rmhc.org/

Canned Food Drive

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Charleston assists the Charleston Catholic School with their canned food drive. Collected food items are donated to Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach. https://www.olmoutreach.org/

Salvation Army Angel Tree

Our club supports the Salvation Army annually and makes donations for the Angel Tree project. This type of project fits our missions “to improve the world, one child and one community at a time”. https://southernusa.salvationarmy.org/charleston/

Habitat for Humanity

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Charleston Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. https://www.charlestonhabitat.org/
